You may notice the following after your Koi
arrives
·
Faded
Colors:
Stress from shipping can
cause colors—especially black—to appear lighter. This is temporary, and colors
will return over time.
·
Veiny
Skin:
Visible veins, often
noticeable on white areas, are a common stress response.
·
Behavior
Changes:
Koi may appear
unusually inactive with minimal movement or, in some cases, overly active and
jumpy.
·
Jumping; Koi may jump out of pond during the first few days
due to stress. This is why its important to keep it covered for at least a few
days.
These signs are normal after the stress of
transportation. With proper care, your koi will recover and return to their
usual vibrant state.
Koi
are measured from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail. Measurements are
taken at the time of listing and are approximate, not guaranteed to be exact.
All
our Koi are quarantined for two to three weeks before they are shipped. Having
healthy and quality Koi for our customers is paramount.

Disclaimer
Please
note
Due to variations in monitor settings and screen displays, the colors
shown online may differ slightly from the actual appearance of the fish. For
the safety of your existing collection, we strongly recommend quarantining any
new fish for at least three weeks before introducing them to your main pond.
Maintain a minimum water temperature of 75°F during this period, as some fish
diseases may not be visible at cooler temperatures. We do not assume
responsibility for issues resulting from the mixing of new and existing fish.
