Welcome to Lady Astrid’s Snails. By placing an order through our website, AquaFindr, or social media platforms, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
1. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older, or have consent from a parent or legal guardian, to place an order.
2. Live Animal Sales
Lady Astrid’s Snails sells live freshwater snails and occasional freshwater shrimp. By ordering, you confirm that you are aware of and compliant with all local, state, and federal laws regarding the ownership and shipment of aquatic livestock.
3. Live Arrival Guarantee
We guarantee live, healthy animals upon the first delivery attempt when all conditions below are met.
If your order arrives deceased or severely damaged, you must:
- Contact us within 4 hours of delivery
- Provide clear photos of the animals in the original, unopened packaging
- Include photos of the shipping label and box
Failure to meet these requirements will void the live arrival guarantee.
4. Test Shipments and Low-Cost Items
Occasionally, test shipments may be offered for research, packaging trials, or route testing. These items are typically valued at under $0.05 per animal.
By purchasing a test shipment, you acknowledge:
- These items are not covered by the live arrival guarantee
- No refunds or replacements will be issued for livestock in test shipments
- Test shipments are intended for shipping evaluation, not guaranteed livestock delivery
5. Refunds and Replacements
Refunds or replacements are issued only if the live arrival guarantee requirements are fully met.
We do not offer refunds or replacements for:
- Buyer’s remorse
- Test shipments or low-value trial items
- Incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses
- Missed delivery attempts
- Carrier delays or mishandling
- Improper acclimation or tank conditions after delivery
6. Shipping Cost Responsibility
Shipping fees are non-refundable once a package has been shipped.
If a shipment is delayed, damaged, or mishandled in transit, customers may contact the carrier directly to request reimbursement:
• USPS
• UPS
• FedEx
Lady Astrid’s Snails is not responsible for issuing shipping refunds related to carrier performance.
7. Responsibility After Delivery
Once the package is marked delivered, all care becomes the buyer’s responsibility. We are not liable for losses caused by:
- Improper acclimation
- Incompatible tank mates
- Poor water parameters
- Lack of calcium or nutrition
- General husbandry issues

🚚 Shipping Policy
1. Shipping Days
Orders typically ship Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend delays. Alternate shipping days may be arranged upon request and approval.
2. Shipping Methods
We ship via USPS Priority or UPS 2–3 Day, depending on weather and location. Express shipping may be available upon request.
Shipping may be delayed or rescheduled if weather conditions are unsafe for live animals.
3. Live Arrival Conditions
Live arrival is guaranteed only if:
- The package is received on the first delivery attempt
- Photos are submitted within 4 hours of delivery
- Transit and delivery temperatures are between 40°F and 85°F
4. Local Pickup
Local pickup may be available in Elyria, Ohio. Please contact us directly to arrange details.
5. Shipping Delays
Once a package is in the carrier’s possession, Lady Astrid’s Snails is not responsible for delays, routing issues, or delivery errors. Please ensure your shipping address is accurate and secure.
